Launch of the Keden System on April 11: Significant Delays in Customs Clearance Possible
Dear partners, we inform you of the launch on April 11 of the new Keden information system, designed for customs clearance of goods in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Despite the official launch of the system, there is a high risk of unstable operation of certain functions, errors in declaration submission, delays in data processing, as well as the need for corrections and resubmission of documents.
Experience with the implementation of new IT solutions in customs administration shows that significant technical difficulties are possible in the first days and weeks of operation, directly affecting cargo clearance timelines.
Possible Consequences
- – increased customs clearance timelines;
- – delays in declaration registration and release;
- – failures in processing information and documents in the system;
- – additional technical and organizational difficulties during clearance;
- – unpredictability of customs procedure completion timelines even with correctly prepared documentation.
We ask clients to take this information into account when planning shipments
In connection with the transition to the Keden system, we recommend taking into account in advance the possible increase in customs clearance timelines when planning logistics, delivery schedules, and related commercial obligations.
We ask you to approach probable temporary difficulties with understanding and patience during the transition period, until the system operation is stabilized and identified errors and deficiencies are fully resolved.
